The Colorado Ski for Women was held on Sunday, January 29, 20 12

This years event raised $6000.

Colorado Ski for Wome n is a benefit event for Advocates Building Peaceful Communities.

Donations are accepted in the amount of your choice. A donation of $30 or more will receive a Goodie Bag.

Advocates Building Peaceful Communities provide services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

24 hour crisis hotline, residential shelter, counseling, women’s group, safety planning, advocacy

and community education.

**2012 Colorado Ski For Women**

Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest

boat The 2011 Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest took place on Sunday, March 24, 2012.

THEME: WILD WEST VIKING

The Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest is a family friendly fundraising event for the Håkan Memorial Fund. Fest activities include Nordic events, costume parade & contest, season pass prizes, free giveaways to the 1st 100 participants, and more! Admission to the event is by donation to the Håkan Memorial Fund. Any donation of $50 or more receives a pair of SmartWool socks.

The Håkan Memorial Fund provides financial support for emerging young Nordic combined skiers, cross-country skiers, and ski jumpers who are members of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. Two $750 scholarships are awarded per year. Thiis year's receipients were Michaela Frias and Cliff Field.
