Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest

The 2014 Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest takes place on Saturday, March 22, 2014.

THEME: OLYMPIC VIKING

The Håkan Memorial Nordic Fest is a family friendly fundraising event for the Håkan Memorial Fund. Fest activities include Nordic events, costume parade & contest, season pass prizes,, and more! Admission to the event is by donation to the Håkan Memorial Fund. Any donation of $50 or more receives a pair of SmartWool socks.

The Håkan Memorial Fund provides financial support for emerging young Nordic combined skiers, cross-country skiers, and ski jumpers who are members of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. Two $750 scholarships are awarded per year. 2013 receipients were Gretchen Burkholder/Evan Weinman, and Ben Berend.

Colorado Ski  for Wome n is a benefit event  for A dvocates Building Peaceful Communities. 

Donations are accepted in the amount of your choice. A donation  of $30 or more will receive a Goodie B ag.

Advocates Building Peaceful Communities provide services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

24 hour crisis hotline, residential shelter, counseling, women’s group, safety planning, advocacy  

and community education.

We  now have 11km of groomed trails for skate and classic this morning.  More snow is coming for Christmas.

We will close at 3pm on CHRISTMAS EVE.  Plan ahead for your shopping.

Daily lessons available - skate and classic.

HAYMAKER NORDIC CENTER-  8 km of trails open have been groomed this morning for skate and classic skiing.  Lessons available daily.
